Outreach

Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, we are able to support various charities within the parish and beyond its boundaries.

Among the many projects St Michael's supports are the following:

Project Upgrade: (run by Camosun College) assists needy people to study and train for a more fulfilling and rewarding career; we support it by collecting refundable containers.

Our Place: A program providing meals, showers and warm clothing for street people.

Food Bank: Donations (for "Mustard Seed") are collected monthly.

Uganda: Individual parishioners have sponsored a total of 17 school students from Sakayia (the "Prayers and Porridge" project). All are doing well in their studies; 5 have graduated and are going on to higher education.

PWRDF: The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund is the Canadian Anglican response for emergency relief, refugees, development, and justice and it makes a difference in the world.

Christmas Help Program: Provides gifts for clergy spouses in Canada's Far North.
